Obituary of Olga Michaniuk

OLGA MICHANIUK Peacefully on April 30, 2011, Olga passed away at Concordia Place. Olga is survived by her children Rose, Lawrence, Edward, Verna, Garry and Iris; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1980; one child; parents Wasyl and Maria Perchaliuk. Olga was born in Arbakka, MB on January 25, 1927. She was a farmer's daughter with eight sisters and two brothers. Olga married Frank at the age of 18 and lived on a farm in Sarto, MB. Olga loved flowers, gardening, Ukrainian cooking, and looking after her chickens. Mom moved to Winnipeg in 1978 and enjoyed being closer to her sisters and brothers. She loved going to her sister Ann's garage sales twice a year and liked shopping at the nearby Bargain Shop. Everybody loved Baba's borsht. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main Street.
