Obituary of Alice MODJESKI

ALICE MARY MODJESKI (nee DOBROVOLNY) Nov. 3, 1924 - Jan. 6, 2010 Peacefully passed away with her niece at her side. Alice leaves behind her sisters Olga and Polly, brother Frank, niece Janice (Rey), nephews Gary, Johnny, Jerry, nieces Robin, Karen, Susan, and nephew Alan, grandnieces and nephews Nicholas, Aaron, Leigh, Neil, Michelle. She was predeceased by her mother Mary and niece Heather. Alice worked in her early years at Eaton's and General Hospital, and later volunteered at the Selkirk Resource Centre. Alice was talented at many crafts, loved music and dogs, and baking goodies. She was always available to help and taught by living an example of unconditionally giving love. She will be deeply missed by those close to her. Many thanks to all at Rosewood Lodge for your wonderful care. A funeral service and celebration of Alice's life will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel (1442 Main Street). A private family burial will take place at a later date at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice's memory may be made to your charity of choice.
