Obituary of Pearl MOROZ
PEARL MOROZ
(nee Zorniak)
Peacefully on January 19, 2009, Pearl passed away at St. Joseph's Residence at the age of 90 years.
Left to mourn are son Daniel (Gail), and daughter Dianna (Andy) Naharnie, grandson Darren and great granddaughter Mhaiya, grandson Cory, sister Stella in Hamilton, Ontario, and sisters Nellie and Betty of Winnipeg, plus many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her parents John and Irene, husband Fred in 1979, three brothers (John, Harry, and Mike), and seven sisters (Anne, Katherine, Mary, Sophie, Olga, Helen, and Sadie) and an infant brother and sister.
Pearl was devoted to her family. One winter her husband and both children were hospitalized in three separate hospitals. She maintained the family morale by visiting each of us at least once a week every week until all were discharged and then nursed us all back to health. Her children were enrolled in a parochial school to ensure they did not lose their ethnicity or religion and she would dutifully attend our music recitals, Christmas concerts and sporting events. Pearl was a selfless woman of enduring spirit who taught us by example. Thanks Mom. You did your job well and you will always be in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Fr. Zachary Shwaluk, O.S.B. to officiate. Interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
If family and friends so wish, a donation in Pearl's memory may be made to MS Society of Canada #100 - 1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg R3T 1L8.
Special thanks are extended to all the staff at St. Joseph's Residence and Dr. T. R. Babick for their care and compassion for our mother. Our family greatly appreciates their dedication.
