Obituary of Lydia PASTUSHENKO
LYDIA PASTUSHENKO
It is with great sadness and sorrow of the tragic passing of our mother, grandmother and aunt, Lydia Pastushenko at the age of 91 on March 27, 2010.
She leaves to mourn her cherish her memory son Peter (Shelly); grandsons Stephan and Jordan whom she loved and cherished very much. Also to cherish her memory three brothers and three sisters and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Germany. Also remaining are nieces Lily (Ron) Befus, Margaret (Dale) Downs both of Calgary and Lydia Hummelt and family of Selkirk, MB; nephews Jerry (Denise) Lubiansky of Vita, MB, Ehor (Barbara) Lubiansky of Winnipeg, Borys (Sheila) Lubiansky of Emerson, Walter (Kris) Wawro, Fred (Dephine) Wawro both of Prince Albert, SK, Peter (Marilyn) Wawro of Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by her husband Steve, sister Olga Lang of Calgary, sister-in-law Mary Wawro of Prince Albert, SK, brother and sister-in-law Luke and Jean Lubiansky of Vita, MB.
Lydia was born Poland and immigrated to Germany. She arrived in Canada in 1952. She married Steve Pastushenko in August of 1954. She worked in the garment industry until retirement in 1984.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
