Obituary of Helen Pomarenski (PHILLIPS)

HELEN POMARENSKI (PHILLIPS) March 16, 1924-June 26, 2008 Helen passed away peacefully on June 26, 2008 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Helen was predeceased by her husband Steve in October 2004, along with brother Michael sisters Mary, Anne and Pauline. Left to cherish her memory are three sisters Polly Dunning (Fresno, Calif), Sophie White and Rose Pochinko of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. Helen was born in Poplar Park, MB. Helen moved to Winnipeg in her early adult years where she met the man she eventually married. Helen and Steve moved to Madera Calif where they lived for 26 years, then returned to Winnipeg in 1986. Helen and Steve enjoyed many cruises together especially their trip to The Ukraine. After Steve's passing Helen enjoyed frequent trips to the casinos with her two sisters and nieces. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM officiating at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street.
