Obituary of Myrna POPE

MYRNA L. POPE It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Myrna Pope at her residence on August 4, 2009 at the age of 70. She will be sadly missed by her son Douglas Pope and wife Misty of Vancouver. She also leaves to mourn her brothers Ronald Kolbauer (Joan), Richard Kolbauer (Susan) and Bob Kolbauer (Lucy), sisters Linda Bullard (Mike Saharchuk), Doreen Thomas, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Myrna was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Pope in 1994. She was born on December 18, 1938 in Winnipeg and raised by Mildred Kolbauer. She married Edward Pope in 1966 and enjoyed a 28 year marriage. Myrna worked hard as a secretary, homemaker and finally in customer service at Zellers until her well deserved retirement. She continued an active, busy life volunteering and socializing. Myrna loved to laugh and shared her sense of humor with her son, her five siblings and her friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Myrna's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. She was a wonderful mother and will be sadly missed.
