CONSTANTIN CHIRICUTA
On Monday, February 27, 2012, Constantin-Costica passed away at Misericordia Health Centre at the age of 91 years.
Constantin was born on May 28, 1920 at the locality of Slivna in the jurisdiction of Galati, Romania. He was born to parents Toadir and Ioana Chiricuta. After the Second World War Constantin joined the Romanian Police Force. He immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s and became a Canadian Citizen on October 24, 1958. Once a Canadian Citizen he then studied courses in basic nursing and receive his certificate as a certified orderly in May 9, 1969. he was then employed by the Winnipeg General Hospital until retirement. After retirement he worked as a security guard at the Canadian Pittsburg Paints and Glass Co. He worked there until poor health caused him to step down. Constantin spent the last few years of his life as a resident of the Misericordia Health Centre

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Romanian Orthodox Church, 103 Furby Street with Rev. Fr. Victor Malanca officiating assisted by Terry Holunga, cantor.
