Darlene was just the best next-door neighbour anyone could wish for, and I so enjoyed our get-togethers and coffee times when the kids were young. I will always remember Darlene for her bright smile, and her endless energy and enthusiasm. I know you will miss her dearly, and our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Laurie, David, Amy and Jordan Thompson.

Dear Wally,Michael and Kalyn, We are so saddened with news of Darlene's passing. We were your backyard neighbours for 18 years and watched as Darlene helped build the fence, planted the shrubs and flowers and cared for all of you. We also saw how active she was in our community. We have fond memories of our time on Thorncliff Bay. May you find comfort in all of your memories of Darlene and in the warmth and caring of your many friends and family around you. In Sympathy,

to Wally, Michael, Kalyn; family and friends. The gift of friendship What we remember today is not simply the passing of an extraordinary friend and wonderful soul, but also the fact that we have lost the gift of Darlene's presence, which perhaps we took for granted; that her marvelous personality would always be here for us to share. We will forever be thankful that we had some time to experience her wisdom, wit and creativity. May we all continue using Darlene's example of how to love life. The world is a little less brighter without her. the Keelers Debbie, Jeff, Brad, James

It is hard to express how profoundly Darlene will be missed. I first met Darlene as "Michael's Mom", and then as a community volunteer. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and energy never ceased to amaze me. My deepest sympathies go out to the family.

My deepest sympathy to Darlene's family. She was such a vibrant person and always so kind and caring. I worked with her at the Apprenticeship Branch and could not have wished for a nicer co-worker. Darlene put 100% into everything she did. She was responsible for getting me into scrapbooking and I will always remember her when I scrapbook pictures of my grandchildren. She was a good friend and I will miss her.
