Obituary of Mary RESHEKA

MARY EILEEN RESHEKA It is with sadness the family of Mary Eileen Resheka, widow of Gerry, announces her passing at Seven Oaks Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Eileen is survived by her sisters Marion and Gwen (Jim); brother Allan (Lorrie) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born May 26, 1923, in North Battleford, SK, to James Ivan and Mary Rose Corrigall. Her childhood was spent in Battleford and on completion of high school she was employed at SaskTel in Saskatoon. This is where she met Gerry and they were married in Winnipeg on May 17, 1946, where they made their home. Eileen was employed at Eaton's on the switchboard and retired as chief operator in 1984. While she was there she made many lifelong friends. Eileen and Gerry enjoyed a happy retirement, traveling and visiting family and friends until Gerry passed away in 1999. Shortly after Eileen moved to Amber Meadows where she enjoyed all her new friends. Special thanks to all the current and former staff at Amber Meadows who made Eileen's life comfortable and happy and also to the doctors and nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital.
