Obituary of Ronald RUHR
RONALD JAMES RUHR
Our family sadly announces the passing of Ron, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the age of 65.
Ron leaves behind to cherish memories and share stories, his family Ann, his wife of nearly 40 years, his two children Troy (Dana) with Devin; Marcie (Mike) with Amy, Ben and Kate; brothers Christian (Chris) (Ivy), Allan (Gloria), Kenneth (Lisa) and sisters Donna (Jim Gilles) and Diane (Pat Miner) and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents John Christian and Anne Marie Ruhr.
Ron was born in Grayson, SK in 1943 but lived most of his life in Winnipeg, MB. Ron and Ann took over the family block manufacturing business, Kildonan Concrete in 1983 until their retirement in 1996. Ron was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, hunting and scuba diving. He equally enjoyed travelling with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his friends, neighbours and fishing buddies.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with Prayers beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Drive. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Cardiovascular Research Fund.
