Obituary of Manuel SANTOS
MANUEL JOAQUIM SANTOS
After a long and courageous battle with cancer Manuel passed away with his family by his side, on February 23, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78 years.
Manuel is survived by his loving wife Ermelinda; son Joao (Lisa), daughter Dulce (Tim Bartman); 4 grandchildren Sydney, James, Kyla and Matthew; brother Jo�o (Dina) in Portugal; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families in Portugal and Canada.
He was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Maria das Dores.
Manuel was born in 1932 in Caminha, Minho Portugal. He married his childhood sweetheart in 1952 and in 1968 they came to Canada where Manuel worked as a construction foreman building homes. Manuel was quite involved in the Portuguese community.

Prayers will be said on Sunday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 28 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. with Rev. Fr. Wladimir Porreca as Celebrant. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Manuel's memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
