Obituary of Audrey SCOBLE

AUDREY IRENE SCOBLE Nee Jones October 12, 1920-February 24, 2011 Peacefully on February 24, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Audrey passed away at the age of 90 years. Audrey was the last remaining child of Dick and Ada Jones, having been predeceased by her four brothers, Les, Os, Ralph, Stan, her grandson Craig, and her daughter-in-law Dianna Scoble. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Gil Scoble, her son Stan (Lorraine), daughter Judy Fabris (Doug), grandchildren Cindy Baete(Garry), Richard Scoble (Lianna), Brent Fabris, Matthew Scoble (Rebecca), Vicci Fabris (Jeff)), and great grandchildren Kristen, Michael and Ethan. Audrey was a passionate and loving person, who had many enjoyments in her life. She loved to travel with her husband and they shared many wonderful memories of their numerous trips. Most summers were spent at their cottage at Laclu where visitors were always welcome and their children, and grandchildren learned the love of the lake. During her working years Audrey worked in Eaton's Mail Order and eventually in the Lingerie Department at Eaton's. Her love of clothes was legendary. Audrey was a member of West Kildonan Ladies curling for many years and West Kildonan Legion Branch #30. The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital on G3 for their loving care and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
