Anne Serafin On August 22,2010, at the Grace Hospital, Anne Serafin beloved mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away at the age of 100 years. She is survived by her daughter Vera and son-in-law Walter Urban, five grandchildren Lyn Gatchell (George), Laurie Molnar (Carl), Tracie Spence (Jim),Michael Urbanovich (Louise), and Jennifer Williamson as well as 7 great-grandchildren, Tammy, Trevor, Amanda, Ryan, Heather, Natiya, and Michael, 3 great-great-grandchildren, Aurora, Roxy and Ethan, her sister Lena Tesarski, sisters-in-law Anne, Mary and Jean and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1987 and her daughters Helen (Bryan) and Natalie (Norquist). She was also predeceased by her parents John and Anna and her five sisters and six brothers. Mom had a passion for gardening and was always making one of her special quilts for her family. She was proud of all of her grandchildren and she enjoyed the time she had visiting with them. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care provided to Anne these past five years by Jackie, Merdedes and Yamin from homecare and Kiya, George and Sandra at the Grace Hospital who provided care and comfort to Anne in the last weeks of her life. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral,115 McGregor St. with Rt. Rev. Mitrat Michael Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Vichnaya Pam'Yat
