Dear Bereaved Family, Dear Vera, Brett and Mark, Although I did not have the privilege of knowing your mother, reading her obituary, I can only marvel at her resilience and fortitude, undoubtedly underpinned by her faith in God. She personifies the persistence that so many Ukrainians had to demonstrate to find civic, religious and economic freedom and also exemplifies the contributions they made to their adopted homelands while supporting their Church and heritage. Vichnaya Pam'yat!

My thoughts are with you, the Sluzar family, at this time and I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Drob. Sluzar, not only from Church adn sunday School, but she was my first Ukrainian School teacher and patiently taught me the basics of my heritage language. Vera to you and your family, know that I am with you today in thought and prayer, as I lost my Mother in August – perhaps now they will meet above. My Mother was very fond of your Mother adn enjoyed their chats on teh phone. They live amongst us in memory. Regards, Iris Iris Meck Iris Meck Communications Inc. 510, 5920 - 1A Street SW Calgary AB T2H 0G3 Phone: 403-686-8407 Fax: 403-255-4592
