Obituary of Anne SOBKOWICZ

ANNE SOBKOWICZ The family of Anne Sobkowicz would like to announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 77 years. Anne was born in Winnipeg on December 14, 1931. She grew up and lived her entire life in the North End of Winnipeg. Anne graduated from Isaac Newton High School. She went on to work at Eaton's Mail Order and then was employed by the Federal Government at the Recreation Centre on Whytewold Rd., where she worked for the majority of her working life until her retirement. Anne had fond memories of spending many memorable summers at Toniata Lodge, which her brother owned. You could find her helping out behind the counter at the store at any given time. Anne enjoyed taking an interest in the lives of her nephew and nieces. She was very active with her NDP party and enjoyed meeting many different people. She also had a keen interest for reading and her cats. She was predeceased by her parents Martin and Lena Sobkowicz and sister-in-law Norma Sobkowicz. Remaining to fondly remember her are; her brother Mike Sobkowicz; nephew Grant Sobkowicz; nieces, Charlene Sobkowicz, Sherry (Scott) Farr, and children Brandon, Ryan, Kristen and Kaelyn Farr. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 23 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing starting � hour prior at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Rev. Alan Armstrong officiating.
