Obituary of Josephine Sokoloski
JOSEPHINE JESSIE SOKOLOSKI
Suddenly and peacefully on May 12, 2008, with her family at her side, Josephine Jessie passed away at Concordia General Hospital at the age of 77 years.
Josephine Jessie will be sadly missed by her six children, Ronald (Dale), Joseph (Helen), Sheryl, Jim (Pat), Barbara (Gary), and Nancy, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; also left to mourn is brother Walter Masyoluk and sister Jennie Glugosh; dearest friend Vicky, her bingo buddies Alice and Fred, and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas, her parents Lena and Steven and her grandparents Jacob and Katherine Ciwicki.
Josephine Jessie was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed her bingo, crosswords, cooking for friends, travelling, volunteer work, and loved to watch vintage movies.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Emergency ward at Concordia Hospital, Chaplain Steve Murphy, all her neighbours and friends for all their care, comfort and compassion at this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be celebrated on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt and Munroe, with Rev. Fr. Michael Winn presiding. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Josephine Jessie's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
