Thank you all for the kind words and warm thoughts. I never understood why she had been taken from me, until I read all of he comments that are posted here. My mother was a wonderfully caring women. She never judged anyone and never spoke an ill word towards anyone. She would take care of everyone that she knew as if they were all family. That is why she was taken I remember her telling me that God takes the best ones first, and reading everything that you all wrote about her it all makes sense, God did take the best one first. Mom I know that you are up there watching over me and I want you to know that I miss you extremely and I love You very much.

Thank you all so much for your kind words anf thoughts. I can see that my aunt Adilia touched a lot of peoples hearts and was able to some what make some peoples lifes a little more brighter with her smile. She was very special to me. In a lot of ways she was not just my aunt she was my mom. She feed me when I was hungry she wiped a tear when i was sad and she calmed me down when I was angry. She never judged me or told me I wasn't good enough. Even though out the last couple months of her life on earth, she never wanted to talk about how she was doing or the pain she had, she wanted to talk about me and how I was doing, how my wedding plans are going. She would always have a smile on her face when she would ask me how the plans were going. Next year 2 days before her 1 year passing will be my wedding day, I know she wanted to be there but knew she would not make it. I will be thinking of her that day and I know she will be there in spirit. I will always love you Tia and I will never forget all that you did for my life and others. You are my angel and i know that grandpa will take care of you up there. Thank you Jennifer Silva

I met Adilia at Manitoba Blue Cross where I work. We would exchange greetings and as we got to know each other a little more, we would share some life's experiences and a moment of well wishes. She shared with me about her health and having to go again to many doctor's appointments but she was always smiling. When she became ill again and had to leave her employment, we had a good chat and a big hug. She stopped by several months later to say hello and thanked me for a card I had given her and we again parted with a big hug. Her wish was to be able to take her granddaughter with her on a trip back home overseas. I don't know if she was able to do so and I thought about her often. I was very saddened to hear of her passing especially at such a young age. I found her to be a very endearing and special lady. My deepest sympathies to all of you who are left behind to mourn her loss. When the pain of her loss becomes unbearable, just look up into the night sky for you will notice a star shining ever so brightly, the brightest you will have ever seen. It will be Adilia watching over you and sending all her love.

Adilia was a very special person, a good neighbor, a caring friend,a skilled gardener, a great cook, a wonderful wife and mother; and a woman with a heart filled with love enough to share with strangers as well as her own family. We will never forget her kindness to our children when they arrived from the North, alone and inexperienced in the city. Having her as a neighbor was a great blessing and gave us peace of mind, knowing she would be there in an emergency or simply to share a plate of food with two hungry teenagers. She will be missed and remembered always. With deepest sympathy to Jorge and all her children and grandchildren, Lia and Ed, Kyle and Erin

I did not know Adilia well, but often spoke to her a few moments each day in passing at Blue Cross. She was always very friendly and kind. Always with a sunny disposition. Her presence here at work and our little conversations has been missed. I send my deepest condolences to her family and friends.
