Obituary of Anne STOCKI

ANNE ELLEN STOCKI Peacefully, at the Middlechurch Home on April 7, 2009, Anne Stocki passed away at the age of 87. She will be sadly missed by her sons Val (Arlene) and Ed (Terry); seven grandchildren; Kathy (Joe), Michael (Chantal), Douglas (Jamie), Elaine, Carol (Seb), E.J. and Kali; and four great-grandsons Nolan, Hudson, Oliver and Aidan. She also leaves to mourn her brothers Peter, John and Sam and sisters Sophie and Kay. Anne was predeceased by her husband Kazmir in March, 2007, her parents John and Anastasia Kernot, her brothers Bill, Mike, Fred and Alex and her sisters Stephie and Mary. Anne was born on October 24, 1921 in Sylvan, MB. She married Kazmir on June 19, 1948 and together they farmed in the Zbaraz area. In 1958, the family moved to Winnipeg so their sons could attend school in the city. Anne loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her delicious perogies and family dinners. She enjoyed many evenings playing Bingo with her friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Middlechurch Home for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Sunday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Inkster. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fisher Branch, Manitoba. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Zbaraz MB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Middlechurch Home or charity of choice.
