Obituary of Zora SUVAJAC

ZORA SUVAJAC (nee Romic) January 19, 1948 - June 5, 2008 It is with great sadness following a brief struggle with cancer, with her husband and children by her side, Zora passed away at the age of 60 years. Zora leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Obrad of 40 years; their children, Slobodan (Gordana), Goran (Sandy), Sandra (Jeffrey), Savo; grandchildren Julianna, Marko, Milan, Stephanie, Ammy, Savannah, extended family, many dear friends and kumovi. Zora joined her parents Marko and Mileva Romic in Heaven. Mom was born in Povilc, Srbac (Yugoslavia) the only child of Marko and Mileva. At the age of 18 she moved to Austria and that is where she met the love of her life Obrad. Mom immigrated to Canada in 1967 to be with him. Mom and dad were married December of 1967 and had four children. Mom devoted herself to raising her family and helping with the family business. She was an active member with the Serbian Church community and would be at most community events either helping out or there for support. In later years the true enjoyment of her life were her six grandchildren. Baba Z, we love you and will truly miss you. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff in emergency and 2" floor ICU at St. Boniface Hospital for their care, compassion and support to Mom and the family at this trying time. Prayers will be said on Monday, June 9 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 580 Talbot Ave. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery.
