HENRY SYRING
On January 2, 2010/8:00 pm, at St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Henry K. A. Syring, beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, passed away at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by: Barb & John Baglole (daughter and son-in-law); Michael & Crystal Syring (son and daughter-in-law); his granddaughters: Suzanne and Justin, Stacey and Dustin, Chantelle and Chris; his grandson: Mitch and LaRae; and his great-grandchildren: Russell, Brooke, Gabe, Brayden and Makayla.
To mourn his passing are his brothers: Christian, Adolf and their families.
He was predeceased by his wife, Esther (nee Terstegen); his brother Robert; and his parents Heinrich and Marie (nee Bock).
Henry was born on August 1, 1928 in Odershausen, Germany and immigrated to Canada March of 1957. He spent many years in the trucking industry (1958 to 1991) beginning with Gladstone Cartage (Toronto) and retiring from Reimer (Winnipeg).
He enjoyed his retired years with an annual hiatus to Mexico, where he had many good friendships. His favourite saying was, "Life on a sunny beach with a cold brew and good friends just doesn't get any better."
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital; and at Concordia Hospital. On behalf of Henry, we would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Dr. I. Mohammed for his many years of care and friendship.
In compliance with Henry's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
