My name is George Matos, I was a student at Hugh John Macdonald from 1985/86-1988/89. Mr. Turman was my Grade 8 teacher whom I adored immensely. I will never forget how he supported the students and always talked about being a "True Hugh John'er", what an amazing soul. As I sit here at work at the HSC, he popped into my head and so I decided to perform a quick search on his name, my condolences on your loss. Whenever I think about Jr. High, Mr. Turman always comes first as "one of those teachers" with whom I had an amazing amount of respect and admiration for.
