Obituary of Walter TYSHKO
WALTER TYSHKO
Peacefully, on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, in his 83rd year Walter passed away.
Predeceased by parents Christine and Michael Tyshko and brother William (Bill) Tyshko. Brother-in-law to Mavis Brown (formerly Tyshko).
Dear Uncle to Kathleen Truelove (formerly Tyshko), Rick Brown (formerly Tyshko), and Stewart Brown whom he leaves to mourn.
Walter was truly a Renaissance man. He worked as a miner, a logger, an oiler and power engineer and later in life owned and managed an apartment block. He spoke English, Russian, Ukrainian, Swedish, French, German and Italian. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed all of the performance arts. He was a member of the Communist Party of Canada since he was 17 years old, and participated in many party activities and fundraisers all his life.
Funeral Service to be held at the Russian Greek Orthodox Church at 643 Manitoba Avenue in Winnipeg at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25th, to be followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Walter
