Obituary of Florence Wiebe

Florence Wiebe January 4,1929 - July 30,2011 Peacefully at the Middlechurch Personal Care Home, Florence Wiebe passed away at the age of 82 years. Florence was born in Teulon, MB, the 4th child of 15 to Delia Marie (Lavallee) and Frank Xavier Chartrand of Oak Point, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer on Dec 6, 1990, daughter, Hazel Anne Murray on May 10, 1998, 2 infant sons, grand-daughter Anna Mettimano on March 14, 2011, her parents Delia and Frank Chartrand, sister Ida Green, brothers; George, Edward, Wilson, Gilbert, Alphonse, Lloyd and Nelson. She will be sadly missed by her children; Violet Mead (Rod), Barry, Judy Wiebe, Sylvia Wiebe (Ron), John Wiebe, Bonnie Wiebe-Palmer (Butch), Donald (Tina), Dennis (Darlene), 13 grand-children, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her sisters and brothers; Mildren MacDonald (Jesse), Jerry Chartrand (Elsa), Charlie Chartrand (Yvonne), Joan Thorsteinson (Ray), Joyce Halldorson (Donald), Ruth Pewtress (David) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family would like to thank all the staff of Middlechurch Home on 1A Appletree Ward, for the special care they gave to our mother. A Celebration of Florence's Life will be held on Thursday, August 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Ash Interment to follow on Friday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
