Obituary of John Yarysz

JOHN YARYSZ Peacefully on January 4, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital, John Yarysz, beloved husband of Olga, passed away at the age of 93 years. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by daughter Linda (Gordon) Morrison; daughter-in-law Bonnie Yarish of Victoria, BC; granddaughters Carla (Will) Sorrell of North London, England and Jessica of Victoria, BC. John was predeceased by his son John Jr. John served in the Canadian Army during WWII. He worked at CPR for forty-two years. At the time of his retirement in 1982 he was operating the largest overhead continuous rail crane in Western Canada. John will be remembered as a kind, gentle person who enjoyed working in his garden and listening to his big band music collection.
