Obituary of DENIS STADNYK
DENNIS RAYMOND STADNYK
October 21, 1951 – September 23, 2011
With great sadness the family announces the passing of Dennis at Seven Oaks Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on September 23, 2011.
He was predeceased by his father James.
Dennis leaves behind his common law wife Shirley Mackey; mother Elma Drzewiec; brother Larry Stadnyk (Janet); sisters Brenda Stadnyk (Jill), Roberta Pusnik (Gordon); Godmother Elsie; niece Casey; nephew Lucas and many other family members.
Dennis was born in Winnipeg in 1951 and lived here all his life in West Kildonan and North End. He attended Centennial, Edmond, Partridge and Gordon Bell Schools. In his younger years he had a paper route for a lengthy time. His first job was at a at a leather tanning factory for a couple of years, then at CP Railways for 32 years retiring at age 55 in November of 2006.
The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Bahnot, for all for his caring ways and also thanks to Homecare attendant Hershey and all the nurses on Level 3, Unit 5 at the Seven Oaks Hospital who cared for Dennis.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Koleen Karlowsky-Clark officiating. Service to terminate at chapel with
cremation to follow. Ash interment to take place at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery.
