Obituary of ANITA BUORS

ANITA BUORS July 23, 1919 – December 31, 2013 Our Mom has been with us through the good times and the not so good. Always with a reassuring presence and constant unwavering love. It is now time to command her to the care of God as she moves on to her eternal reward. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard. She will be buried beside her husband Jean Marie in the parish cemetery in Saint Laurent, Manitoba. Our beloved mother was born on July 23, 1919. She grew up in Saint Laurent and it was there she met Jean Buors and they married in 1939. Jean was to be the love of her life for the next 40 years until he died in 1979. Some years later Mom married Leon Paul and she was blessed with a second happy marriage for the next 20 years until Leon died in 2002. Anita and Jean were proprietors of a general store in Saint Laurent. This made her truly value clients and friends. Her charismatic personality and warm smile was always evident whether working in the store, at Government House or Eaton’s. Surviving her death are her sons George (Rita) and Ronald (Roberta). She also leaves her grandchildren Darlene, Cheryl, Brett, Tyson, Ryan and Danielle and her two great grandsons Anthony and Steven. She had a unique closeness with her siblings and is survived by her sister Cecilia (Leo) and brother Benny (Suzanne). She was predeceased by siblings Ethel (Don d.), Dorothy (Germaine d.), Edgar (Maria d.), Roland (Annette d.), Laura (Herb), Joseph (Donna), Robert and Ella. Her warm blue eyes, her infectious laugh and her zeal for knitting will also be missed by all her extended family.
