Obituary of MARY LINDA SENKOW

MARY LINDA SENKOW (NEE BENEDEK) After many years of fighting complications from diabetes, Linda Senkow beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 60 years on January 20, 2014. She is survived by her children: Michelle Snare(George), Michael Senkow and Matthew Senkow, all of Winnipeg MB, her grandchildren: Darren, Bellamy, Anna, Jacob, Merrick and James, her brother Rick Liberty (Georgina), her aunt Yvonne Wirth and ex-husband Peter Senkow. She will also be missed by many other friends and family. She was predeceased by her mother Rita Liberty, step-father Alec Liberty and father Ken Smith. Mom's happiest days were when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She recently moved to Greenwood Place and enjoyed Wii night, playing cards and working in the kitchen for special occasions. She also liked to read, do puzzles and watch movies. She was very sentimental and had a great sense of humor. In her own words: "Please remember me for all the laughs we've shared, being the best Mom I could be, for being a good grandma, for being a good friend." The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the MICU at HSC for their support and kindness. Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11am at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at a later date.
