ERNEST (ERNIE) R. J. KEHLER
On March 11th, 2014 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Ernest Kehler, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed peacefully at the age of 75 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Sherry Lynn (Mike) Addato of New Jersey, Fern (Charles) Traubert of Florida, and Sharmain Kehler of Winnipeg, one son, R. Irwin Kehler (Marlene) of Winnipeg and by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He leaves to mourn his siblings, Sophia, Delma, Walter.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Alma Monkman, his lifepartner, Elsie Genaille, his son Jeffrey Kehler, his parents Jack and Lydia Kehler and his sister Shirley Hanslip.
Ernest will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ernie loved spending time talking, laughing, riding his bike, and also visiting at the Mamawi Drop-in Centre.
Honorary Pallbearers - R. Irwin Kehler, Jeffrey Lukianchuk, David Amos, Justin Kehler, Fred Monkman , Wayne Berens, Howard Monkman.
Memorial service will be held at the Winnipeg Centre Vineyard Church on Tuesday, March 18 at 2pm at 782 Main St. Winnipeg with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mamawi McGregor Neighbourhood Care Site.
