Obituary of MARY WALTER
MARY WALTER (NEE PIDPERYHORA)
August 24, 1917-April 25, 2012
After a brief illness Mary left us on April 25, 2012. Predeceased by her husband Hugo, her parents and 12 siblings Mary leaves to mourn, daughters, Janice Coulthard, Sharon (Allan) Procter; grandchildren, Trevor, Shawna, Bonnie (Tyson), Christie (Colin); great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alanis, Charlotte, and Ava. She is also survived by her sisters Polly (Steve), Helga, Anne, two sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Elfros, Sask. and was one of 16 children. Mary spent her earlier life working in the hospital (Yorkton). After moving to Wpg. she met Hugo (a devoted husband of 42 years); they married August 30, 1952. They spent many happy years working, raising a family, traveling Canada and Europe. Mary is best remembered for her love of baking, cooking and hospitality.
Special thanks extended to the staff at St. Joseph’s Personal Care Home for their exceptional care and compassion.
Prayers will be said on Sunday April 29th, 7:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A funeral mass will be held on Monday April 30th, 10:00 am at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St. with Father Rainerio Sarce presiding. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
We love you and we will miss you.
