Obituary of DAGAN BINDA
DAGAN BINDA
DAGAN TAYLOR BINDA We are filled with profound sadness that our sweet Dagan left us unexpectedly on March 13, 2014. His memory will be cherished by his dad Wayne, momma Roslyn, sister Kalyn (Eric) Sigurdson, brother Logan (Jennifer). Dagan loved his most recent role as uncle to Anara Sigurdson and new baby nephew Branson Binda. They always brought a smile to his face. The companionship of his dog Pizanno provided consistent loyalty, acceptance, and friendship for the last ten years. Dagan was very close to his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his Uncle Raymond (1988), Grandpa Binda (2009) and his Grandma Gould (2011). He shared a very special bond with his godfather Uncle Darrell Binda, his godmother Auntie Karla Gould, and his "fairy" godmother Auntie Sharron Gould. He was our family ambassador who kept in touch with all the relatives, near and far. We could always depend on Dagan for an update of their lives. Dagan was the first of his siblings to be born on March 25, 1980. Dagan loved growing up in Bird's Hill, being surrounded by many members of his extended family and especially all the good memories made with friends in the gravel pits. He spent time building forts, climbing trees, ripping around on his BMX, exploring the pits and playing baseball and hockey. His interests were music, movies, fishing, science fiction, outer space and creating his own culinary delights. He found solace in being outside and the simple things in nature. Dagan started working at a young age and over the years he helped doing neighbourhood odd jobs and in the local market gardens. He took pride in his position as a carpenter's helper - building houses, his maintenance work at the East St. Paul outdoor rinks and as an operator of small machinery. He volunteered his time at Winnipeg Harvest. His favourite part of all his jobs was the people that he met along the way. Our heartfelt gratitude to all the "angels" on earth who supported, encouraged, and loved our Dagan throughout his short life. Dagan was extremely patient, thoughtful and personable. Although he faced many health challenges, he began each day with a positive attitude. Dagan was always up for goofing around and creating his own little rhyming ditties to bring out the laughter in the people around him. He had an active imagination, huge heart and generous spirit. "We will always remember the way you looked, the way you walked and smiled, all the things you did for us, will be with us all the while. You always did your best, your heart was true and tender, you lived your life for those you loved, and those you loved will remember." A celebration of Dagan's life will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The reception will be followed by a private family interment at Sunnyside Cemetery in Springfield MB. In lieu of flowers, the family greatly appreciates donations made in Dagan's memory to Sara Riel Foundation Inc., 66 Moore Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2M 2C4 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. I love you forever. I like you for always As long as I'm living. My baby you'll be. GOD BLESS YOU "DIGGER" UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
