Obituary of LYNNE MARIE WILLCOCK
On March 22, surrounded by her loving family, Lynne passed away peacefully in the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care unit after a two year battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Ashley (Kurt Reinfort) and Evan (Meredith); her beautiful granddaughter Dia Lynne; brothers and sisters Ron, Maureen (Dave), Gary (Mary), Bob (Georgie), Colleen (Peter), David (Karen), Randy (Kathy); numerous nieces and nephews, John Willcock (Ginny), Elizabeth Willcock (Nana) and her entire extended Willcock family.
Lynne was predeceased by her parents John (Jack) and Alice Kirkpatrick.
Lynne's primary focus in life was her family, whom she loved deeply. She also cherished the time spent with numerous friends, many of whom she had since grade school. She greatly enjoyed her work at CTV, and her marvellous colleagues.
Lynne was a truly extraordinary soul. She was a fierce and devoted mother to Ashley & Evan; as well as a caring and supportive friend and confidant. She had a boundless ability to forgive, to laugh, and to always find the positive in every situation. To be in her orbit was truly amazing. Her strength, courage and tenacity never wavered when dealing with this illness.
The family would like to thank the medical teams at the Grace Hospital and CancerCare Manitoba, and especially friend Lynn Ohlson, who was by her side every step of her cancer journey.
A Celebration of Lynne's life will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street. True to Lynne's spirit of fun, she has requested everyone wear something pink. Private interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynne’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
