Obituary of MARY KOPEC

Mary Kopec (nee Zaikow) November 5, 1930-March 22, 2014 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our dear mom, baba, great-baba, aunt and friend. On March 22, 2014, after a courageous battle with COPD, Mary passed peacefully with her family by her side. Left to cherish with many memories are her children, Perry (Laura), Lori (Lindsay), Cory (Lisa) and Colleen (Larry) and her grand-children Stephanie (Kelly), Teigan, Nicole (Paul), Lauren, Hayley and Jordan, great grand-daughter Tatum, many nieces and nephew. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Peter, her five brothers and one sister. Mary was energetic and fun-loving. She was an inspiration to all of us and touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Mary had a relentless zest for life and a sense of humour that brought laughter to everyone she met. Cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Private interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lung Association of Manitoba. Forever loved
