This world is a bit smaller without Greg. I had the privilege of being his friend and also of watching him conduct the Wind Ensemble of Converse in Twichell and watching his gentle leading and drawing out of the best of his students in their concerts. His laughter was contagious and always made me happy. He has been and will further be missed at Converse and in our hearts.

Greg was one of my officers when I was an Air Cadet in the early 80's. I have fond memories of him, although I seem to recall giving him a lot of trouble....
Rest well Greg. $#@$^% cancer.....

To Dr. Lindahl's family and loved ones,
My heart goes out to all of you and my prayers are with you.
I feel privileged to have known Dr. Greg Lindahl and to have studied under him. As an international student from Sri Lanka - at Converse College, Dr. Lindhal was my first conducting teacher. I will forever carry with me not only the musical knowledge which he shared, but also his bright spirit. He always pushed me to work harder and encouraged me to dream beyond the impossible. He had the ability to brighten up a room with his presence. His infectious laughter and heart warming smile will always be cherished. We, his students around the world, spreading our wings to become professionals in the music industry are one family. We are proud to carry on the legacy which Dr. Lindahl left behind. He will watch us from heaven, dancing, smiling and laughing as he always did. His spirit will remain with us forever.

My sincere condolences to Greg's friends and family. I have a lot of great memories spending time with my cousin during the summers he visited Calgary. I am sorry I am not able to attend his Celebration of Life service.

To Greg's family and friend-community:
I met Greg during the time we were both studying to become better conductors at the summer conducting programs at the University of Calgary. What followed was a long-distance friendship. We called each other occasionally, and it always felt like we had spoken just the day before. We always talked about repertoire when we talked; we also always talked about my family. Greg stayed with us a couple of times, and my kids were very fond of him. As I look back, I appreciate the courageous ways Greg circumnavigated the challenges life threw at him. He was an optimist, and pursued his passion for teaching and performing music with terrific energy. I was always inspired by him, and I continue to feel this way. He will be missed by all of us.

Dr. Lindahl was blessed with an incredbile ability to brighten a room just by walking into it. He was an inspiration to every student at Converse College that was lucky enough to know him. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy and love will live on forever in our hearts, our minds, and our actions. Heaven has been blessed with a beautiful angel.

I had the privilege of being taught by Dr Lindahl at Converse College. I was very saddened to hear of his passing and will long remember his good humour and generosity as a teacher. May he rest in peace.
