Obituary of GEORGE KOSOWAN
GEORGE KOSOWAN
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of George Kosowan, age 83 years, on April 8, 2014.
George is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sadie, daughter Deb (Glenn), son Dale, and grandchildren Desiree and Jeremy. He also leaves to mourn, his sisters Marie, Vicki (Art), and sister-in-law Pauline and their families. George was predeceased by his parents Peter and Safta (née Djamen) Kosowan, brothers John and William (Bill), and sister Olga.
George was born on October 15, 1930 in Gardenton MB. Dad and mom were neighbours growing up and married in Gardenton MB in 1958. They resided in Winnipeg with their two children. Dad worked at Ray-O-Vac for several years and then worked at Sherwin Williams Paint Co. as a General Forman for 25+ years retiring in 1990. Dad enjoyed listening to the news and he loved to talk about it. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and every spring dad looked forward to planting the vegetable garden. Their garden was small but he was always proud of it. Dad enjoyed his family visiting and gathering on holidays. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with The Rev. Fr. Eugene Maximiuk officiating. Interment will be in the summer at Gardenton MB.
