MICHAEL NAKONECHNY
August 4, 1925 – April 15, 2014
It is with heavy hearts and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael at the age of 88 years.
Michael leaves to mourn his wife of 40 years, Nellie; daughter Margaret; son Blair; daughter Geraldine; step children Patricia (Mike), Rosemarie (Sam); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his mother Anna and father William and daughter Joanne.
Michael was born Ternopol, Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He worked on his uncle’s farm for one year in Tadmore, SK. He then moved to Winnipeg worked in a restaurant until he joined the Gas Company where he worked for 2 years then was employed by CP Rail as a Carman until retirement. He also had numerous part time jobs. Mike had a passion for life, food and pets; he will be sadly missed by all.
Prayers will be said on Monday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
