Murray was a good and honorable man and it was a privilege to love him as part of our "family". His strength of character and quick wit made him truly unique. Gone from this life too soon, but never forgotten...... Deepest sympathies to the Eastoe and Rose families.

My parents (Dave and Esther) first met Murray 30 years ago through Donna. My mom and Donna curled together at Rossmere in a womans league. At an Elmwood high school reunion they first met Murray. As it turned out my dad and Murray went to Elmwood, at different times-they have been having Saturday night card dates ever since! Some of the best times my parents have had were with Murray and Donna! I first met Murray when during these late night card sessions they asked me to babysit their son Kevin. I got to know the Eastoes well, and have been in my heart since that young age. You will be truly missed our dear friend! Your laughter, and strong voice will be with us always. Be well!

Seems to me like there's one fewer star in the sky. My sister Sherry put it well. We'll miss you, Mur. A lot.

Murray was one of the best additions to the Dale bloodline. Never a scowl or unkind word (except in jest). What you saw was what you got. Honesty, witticism, tomfoolery and he still thinks that lakes have beaches.

Our sympathies go out to the entire Eastoe/Rose families with the loss of your beloved Murray. We have heard so much about Murray from Dale & Diniece. They always spoke of what a super guy he was and I know he was a very special part of the family. Our thoughts are with all of you as you go through this very sad time. Although our meeting was brief, I could tell that both you and Donna are kindred souls. I immediately felt like I was visiting good friends. You both have this warmth about you that would make anyone feel at home. Over time I heard about the two of you daily from Karen and I felt like I was fortunate to be a part of your lives, even indirectly. Even though you were given the knowledge of this pending outcome, it is still very difficult to comprehend. My deepest condolences to you Donna. Hold on to your memories Look for the little signs and don't doubt them. Take some comfort in that our loved ones are well and still among us.

I am so saddened by the loss of this wonderful, funny, loving man. Donna and Kevin, I can only imagine how much you miss him. The way he was at our Easter Dinner is how I will always remember him...full of jokes, laughter, and teasing! I have known Murray my entire adult life, and he was always, always the same, even when he was sick. He was a beautiful addition to our family from the moment you brought him into the fold, Donna! Family gatherings just won't be the same without him. Strength and hugs to you, dear Cousin Donna and Kevin...and to you, Murray, it was a pleasure knowing you these years, we will miss you terribly. Love, Sherry xoxo (with especially emphatic kisses for the guy who always claimed to HATE kisses, especially from relatives!)

I cannot believe that my dear brother-in-law has left this physical life! Murray provided our family with more laughs in a weekend than many people have in a year. I told my family that we have to conspire with each other to keep Murray's style of humour in our get-togethers, in honour of his life with us. I was privileged to know Murray almost as long as Donna knew him. What a tremendous gift that was to me. Rest peacefully, dear Murray. May we meet again some day!
