Obituary of ANNA (LOU) MARION LOUISE MCCANDLESS

Anna Marion Louise (Lou) McCandless passed away peacefully at Lions Manor in Winnipeg, on May 17, two weeks shy of her 92nd birthday.
She was predeceased by her husband Warren and brother Sammy. She is survived by her sons, Brien (Jane), Michael (Barbara) and Chuck (Nancy); her grandchildren, Ethan, Annaliese and Cara, Kyla and Brianna and Matthew, Kathleen and Elizabeth Robin; as well as, 12 great-grandchildren.
Lou was born on June 1, 1922 in Donemana, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland. She began her musical career as church organist in Londonderry. She married Warren in 1945. In 1956, her family immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. She was organist at Thomson Funeral Chapels for 38 years, while serving as church organist and choir director, accompanist and piano teacher.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Assisted Living and Personal Care at Lions Manor for their kind and patient care over the last few years.
A funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Friday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lions Manor.
