I'm shocked and saddened this morning to learn of Gord's passing. He always struck me as such an irrepressible spirit. We fell out of touch after high school, but recently reconnected on Facebook.
I was very impressed by his entrepreneurial spirit and his intellect and I enjoyed 'riffing' with him and his trademark sense of humour.
My favourite memories of Gord were the hilarious antics he used to get up to with friends - they had me in tears, laughing so hard - on more than one occasion.
Gord, I am so sorry that we will never get to fully explore our friendship as the men that we have become. I will miss you.
Sunhee, though we met only briefly, please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain that you are experiencing even now. I wish you only the very best as you find your way to a new normal, and a bright future.

I knew Gordon from years ago, back in the 1980s, when he was our amazing light technician for our band Chapeau Rouge.
In 2012, after over 22 years, he reconnected with me and suggested we meet at the airport to catch up during one of my trips to visit family in Winnipeg. We had a great time reminiscing about the old days. He was just as I remembered him, kind, considerate and dedicated, especially to his family. I was so shocked when I heard this happened.
My sincerest condolences to Gordon's family, he will be greatly missed.

Gordon and I had lunch at Polo Park on May 10 and I could tell he was very depressed. I could only offer advice which seemed pitiful at the time. I am so sorry I failed in that I could not do better.
Gord rented a room from me when I lived on Sayer Avenue and moved with me to Kenaston Blvd. He was so friendly and thoughtful, and wanted our group of renters to be considered "family". We lost touch until I found him on FB and we reconnected for a short time, much too short.
I was going to call you this week to get together for lunch again until I saw this horrible news.
Gordon you will be greatly missed. Peace my friend.
