Please accept my heartfelt condolences at the passing of your father. I was very saddened to read that he had died.
Your father was very pleased to learn of the existence of the Kresy-Siberia Virtual Museum (www.kresy-siberia.org), and to know that the next generation was working hard to let the English-speaking world know about what happened to him and nearly 2 million other Poles from Eastern Poland during WWII. He was proud to be part of the Virtual Museum by having his biographical profile included in the Wall of Names and part of the interview he recorded with Prof Patalas included in the Survivor Testimonies section. He had planned to add scans of his photos and documents to a collection in the Hall of Memories, but became too ill to work on this. I hope that one of his children will, one day, do this in his memory.
He was a wonderful person, and I am glad to have had a small part in preserving his history for posterity.
With sympathy,
Krystyna Szypowska
