Obituary of EARL LEDOUX

EARL LEDOUX February 24, 1951 – June 19, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Earl Ledoux on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his children, Earlene (Louis), Monty, Charlene, and Colleen; his grandchildren; great-grandson; his mom Bertha Ledoux; brothers; sisters; in-laws; numerous nieces; nephews; and friends . Earl was predeceased by his wife Theresa; father Felix Ledoux; sister Hilda; and several in-laws. He worked as a correction officer at the Winnipeg Remand Centre for 25 years then retiring to Pine River, MB where he loved and lived until he became ill. Dad loved his entire family and gave a lot of advice and help through the years. He worked hard all his life and enjoyed the casinos, bingo, camping and trapping with his neighbour, but most of all he loved to sit in his chair, drink his black coffee, smoke and watch TV. He will be solemnly missed and forever loved. Funeral Service will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, 548 Home Street at Ellice Avenue Thursday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. A Wake will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. also on Wednesday. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while. Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile. And for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each walking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near. And never never be afraid to die For I am waiting for you in the sky!
