Obituary of OLGA LEDUCHOWSKI
OLGA LEDUCHOWSKI
JANUARY 22, 1921 – July 3, 2014
Peacefully on Thursday Olga, age 93, passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home with family by her side.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Leduchowski, her parents Lena and George Handabura, siblings Anne, Steve, Margaret and Mary.
She will be sadly missed by daughter Susan (Wayne) Ichiiwa and granddaughter Haley.
Olga was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Hadashville, MB where they farmed and kept bees. She loved being in the country, animals and going for long drives with family. She worked at CP Rail Hotel (Royal Alexandra) for many years, which gave her the opportunity to travel across Canada and USA. Olga married Nick in 1964 in Winnipeg and raised their daughter. She was a loving devoted wife and mother. She was a wonderful seamstress, loved knitting and was a devout Jehovah’s Witness.
The family wishes to thank the aides, nurses and kitchen staff of the Maples Personal Care Home who took exceptional care of mom in a very caring and loving environment.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the Arthritis Society in Olga’s memory would be appreciated.
