Obituary of BRANDON ADAM SYCH
Brandon Adam Sych
August 29, 1988 – July 20, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son and brother Brandon who departed this life at the age of 25 on July 20, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Selkirk, Manitoba.
He will be greatly missed by his parents Brian and Caren of Winnipeg; his sister Kristen (Steve) Proskurniak of Calgary and brother Drew. He also leaves his Aunts, Uncles and cousins; Cheryl (Dave), Teagan, Haley and Carlee Mucz, Michael (Kim), Rachel and Samantha Popp, Barry (Tracy) Popp, Edward (Linda) Sych, Jared (Bre Shannon) and Harlow Sych, Kyle (Tracy) Sych, Shawnee and Taylor Brown, Ian (Pamela), Keegan and Ethan Sych, Marilyn, Shane (Heather), Cailin, Harrison and Brett McGurk. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Adam and Carolyn Popp, paternal grandparents, Walter and Katy Sych and uncle Brian McGurk.
Brandon was born in Winnipeg to Brian and Caren on August 29, 1988. He attended high school at Kildonan East and graduated in 2007. Brandon completed his Red Seal as an Interior Systems Mechanic from Red River College in 2011 and was awarded for achieving top marks in the province. He worked in the family business for the past 9 years working his way up from laborer to job foreman.
Brandon was a loving caring son, brother and friend. Growing up Brandon spent most of his time at the local hockey rink and was a very talented hockey player. We will miss his gentle heart and his warm smile. He was a man of few words but when he spoke everyone listened because he had something funny or insightful to say. Brandon was dedicated to his profession and highly motivated. When he was not working, you would often find him fishing or snowmobiling with his Dad, Brother and family on the weekends. He enjoyed spending his evenings at Rossmere Golf and Country Club or training at the gym with his brother. He was a friend to everyone he touched.
Funeral service will be held at St. Ignatius Parish, 255 Stafford Street, on Friday, July 25 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Con Mulvihill, SJ of St. Ignatius Parish officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street, West St. Paul and reception location will be announced on Friday.
