JERRY ALEXANDER MELNYK
On Wednesday, July 30, 2014 Jerry passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 74 after suffering from cancer and COPD.
Jerry is survived by his sisters, Alice Solypa (nee Melnyk), Marcella Melnyk, as well as many nieces and nephews across the western provinces.
He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Jacob Melnyk; brothers, Peter, Michael and Walter; and sister Helen Trombley (nee Melnyk).
Jerry was born and raised in Carrot River, Saskatchewan where he went to school and later farmed with his father and brothers, Walter and Peter. We would like to thank Dr. Francis Newman for the many years of care, also to the staff at Unit 6 at Victoria Hospital. A special thank you to the Bermisa family and staff at Garden Manor for their compassionate care of Jerry.
