With great sadness, we mourn the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Cliff Munroe (Jinx) at 2:25 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the age of 72, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was predeceased by his parents Wesley and Victoria (Parenteau) Munroe; sister Lena (Les) Desjarlais; sister–in–law Gloria Munroe; brother-in-law Henry LaQuette; nieces Audrey and Loretta McLeod and other family members too numerous to mention.
Cliff is survived by his children Brian (Miranda) Spence, Marilyn (Ed) Spence-Martel; grandchildren Brian Jr., Damon, Jessica and Brandon Spence-Williams, Victoria and Veronica Spence-Martel and his children’s mother Annette Spence; brother George Munroe; sisters Rose (Joe) McLeod, Gloria LaQuette; brother-in-law Celestin Guiboche; nieces; nephews; cousins; friends and in-laws-the Spence family.
Thank you to Selkirk General Hospital, ambulance drivers, and to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital (second floor, ICU) for the care and compassion shown to us and to the excellent care given to our loved one; also to visitors and all their prayers, much love and respect to everyone involved.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with viewing one hour before service. Service will end at the Chapel with cremation to follow. His remains will be taken at a later date to Camperville, MB where he will be laid to rest beside his mother.
“When God comes and gathers his jewels
All his treasures of diamonds and gold
I’ll meet you up there, up in Heaven so fair
When God comes and gathers his jewels.”
