Obituary of JOSE LINGAT DAET
JOSE LINGAT DAET
August 27, 1962 – October 28, 2014
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Lingat Daet. Jose passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 52.
Jose was born in Valenzuela City, Philippines. He had studied at the Philippine Marine Institute at the College of Marine Engineering, and was a certified seaman, before relocating to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1988. It was here that he spent most of his adult life, and would be the caring husband to Gertrudes Daet, and loving father of Juliet, Angela, and Grace Daet. He enjoyed his days with a love of aviation and mechanics, road trips, and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his kind and conscientious outlook towards others and life, and for being someone who could be relied on. His warm heart and memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Jose is survived by his wife, Gertrudes; daughters Juliet, Angela, and Grace; sister Lita and brother Tony; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He will always be remembered in their hearts.
There will be a Lamay and Prayer Service held on Saturday, November 1 from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. He will be later laid to rest in his hometown in the Philippines.
Although the sunset is drawing nigh,
Please do not feel that this is our last good-bye.
For in our hearts, you will always be,
And our love for you, spans an eternity.
May God bless and guide you on your way,
We love you Dad; we’ll see you again someday.
Love Always, Your Daughters, Juliet, Angela & Grace Daet
