Obituary of BRIAN BURNS
BRIAN BURNS
(devoted husband, father, and grandfather)
In loving memory of Brian Leonard Burns who on November 18, 2014 at Seven Oaks Hospital, after 5 long years of fighting cancer, passed away at the age of 70 years. Brian was a humble man who always had a smile on his face and was always cracking a joke or two. In life, and now in death he would not want us to focus on the sadness of his passing but instead to appreciate the happiness and joyous moments are futures hold.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Carol of 45 years; his son David (Vanessa) and daughter Tammy; his cherished grandchildren, Cassandra, Michael, Matthew, Charlee, Declan and his special companion Tigre (the family cat) of 16 years. Brian is survived by his brother Wayne (Linda) and sister Lyne as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to offer our sincere gratitude and thanks to all the hospital staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and CancerCare as well as the many doctors, nurses and homecare staff especially Ed and Roger who took the time and compassion to care for him in his fight of cancer.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers please donate to CancerCare Manitoba.
