Obituary of MARGARET BRIDGET JABLONSKI
MARGARET BRIDGET JABLONSKI
October 8, 1957 – November 30, 2014
On Sunday, November 30th, 2014, Margaret Bridget Jablonski departed this world and joined the angels of heaven to be with God.
Margaret was born October 8th, 1957, in Snow Lake, Manitoba, the daughter of Alexandra Parij and the late Janusz Jablonski.
Left to celebrate her life are daughter Harmony; son Daniel; furry “grandpup” Titus and “the cats”. As well, are her brother Andrew (Susan); sisters; Joanna (Kelly), Sonia, Mary (Mike); nephews and nieces; Michael, Steven, Krizsia, Lisa, Karina, Matthew; and grandnephews; Ethan and Declan; and grandniece Aria.
Margaret attended St. Gerard School and Elmwood High School before attending the University of Manitoba, graduating with a degree in social work on the Dean’s Honour List.
Yet it was her family, her faith, and helping all of God’s creatures that were Margarets’ passions in life. She chose to leave Social Work to persue her most desired dream job of all, be a full time mother to her children. As they aged, she frequently became the “adopted mother” to many of her children’s friends, often lovingly referred to as “Mama J”. She did later return to the “workforce” and enjoyed working for MTS where she made countless friends.
It is insufficient to say that Margaret touched the lives of everyone she met. It was impossible to not be swept up by her quick wit, humour and charm. Her genuine love and compassion for all, just made those around, all fall in love with her that much quicker and deeper.
In her honour, the family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to a list of people too numerous to mention. But to some, we say thank-you for your service. To many, your kind and caring compassion for Margaret, always helped to brighten her day and lift her spirits. And to the rest, your love and dedication to your profession, gently passed Margaret from your tender arms to each other, till finally she was passed into the arms of the angels.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral and Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 5th at St. Gerard Parish, 45 Foster Street with Fr. Greg Mulligan officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
