NETTIE (ANASTAZJA) MACHNICKI
(NEE YAMNIUK)
1912-2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother at age 102, January 9, 2015 at Lions Manor Personal Care Centre.
Mother was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1985.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Anne (Larry), Lorraine (Art) and son Jim (Marlene), and grandchildren Michael, Jeffery, Dawn, Jamey, Barbara; great grandchildren Ava, Kali, Rachel, Carmen, Drew, Aspen, Terron and Dustyn.
She was born in the Ukraine and came to Canada at the age of 18, she married dad in 1932. They lived all their life in the home dad built on Ebby Ave. in Fort Rouge. They were members of the Holy Family Church where mom was famous for her pyrogy making. Mom will always be remembered for her kindness, her smile, and her thankful spirit.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lions Manor Supportive Housing and PPC 4th floor for their love and care of Nettie over the years.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m with viewing from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
Family gratefully declines flowers. Donations can be directed to Lions Manor PCC 4th floor or charity of choice.
Mom we love you and will miss you deeply, your loving children.
