Obituary of TERRY MAHYLES
TERRY MAHYLES
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Terry Mahyles after battling cancer for 6 months; he passed away peacefully on January 28, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra; his 2 children Karen and Brant; his sister Adeline; brother Roy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terry was born and raised in Winnipeg. At the age of 17 he started working at Motor Coach Industries and remained there as a welder for 43 years until he retired at the age of 60.
Terry had many interests throughout his life: bowling, fishing, hunting, building and flying model airplanes, wood working, collecting music, model cars and other memorabilia. He enjoyed many hours playing video games.
Terry was very handy around the house and yard. In his retirement years he helped out in many of the household chores.
Terry and Sandy loved travelling, but just as they got started, his life was taken.
He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to tease and even though he complained about the cat hair, he dearly loved his cat Patches.
Many thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the Health Sciences Centre and Stonewall Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
