RICHARD KURKOWSKI
Richard Kurkowski passed away suddenly, on February 11, 2015. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; daughter Lisa Duxbury (Randy); son Rick Kurkowski (Christine); and grandson Devlin Duxbury. He was predeceased by his parents, sister and brother.
Richard was born in Berlin. At 16 he came to Winnipeg with this parents, sister and brother-in-law. His family moved back to Germany, but Richard stayed. At 19, he married Marilyn Moser. They had two children Lisa and Rick. Richard was a sausage maker and worked at City Meat for many years. In his spare time he became a skilled home-renovator, and tackled many projects for friends and family. He enjoyed watching soccer and hockey on TV, going to the German Club, listening to German music, and spending time with this family. Richard was a hard worker and kept very active. His sudden passing was unexpected.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg.
